On February 2nd, 2018, our lives changed forever. Our daughter, Bridget, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer. After seeking the best treatment available for Bridget, I picked up and moved with Bridget to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN. The treatment is long. Ten weeks of chemotherapy, amputation of the right limb below the knee, followed by another 22 weeks of chemotherapy, barring any delays. We are currently in week 24 of treatment and Bridget misses her Dad and her brother, who remain in Scottsdale. The trips back & forth from Scottsdale to Memphis are not as often as we’d like and have cost us thousands of dollars to date. We have recently begun remodeling our bathrooms and house to accommodate Bridget’s recent amputation. Again, the costs are tremendous, and this doesn’t account for any other needs, etc. as time continues. While I can’t take away Bridget’s cancer, treatment, chemotherapy, amputation or hardship, I can provide her an amazing house and room to come home to. And that is just where Phoenix Cancer Support Network stepped in. Jenny and her team are working with our family to provide Bridget with new bedroom furniture to accommodate her needs and make it the room of her dreams. I can’t thank them enough for the joy they will bring when we come home.” Thank you!
