I hope this letter finds you well, healthy and safe.
I can’t believe it’s been 3 months since we were thrown into this new world of quarantine, social distancing and face masks. Although many other community cancer support programs have been forced to suspend critical programming leading to a much higher demand on us, I am happy to report that Phoenix Cancer Support Network (PCSN) has pressed on and has not turned away anyone needing assistance. Last week I had the honor of delivering meals to a few of our clients through our partnership with the JoyBus Diner. I saw first-hand how cancer doesn’t care about coronavirus, skin color, education or financial status. As long as we continue to have your support, we promise to always do whatever we can to help all humans living with cancer.
Our upcoming ‘Friendraiser’ on August 15th is our biggest fundraising event of the year. I hope you will consider attending either in person or virtually to support our mission.
Any financial assistance you can provide is so appreciated and as always, will go directly to serving cancer patients and their families.
Please keep yourselves protected and continue to share your love with the world form a safe distance.

Casey shares his experience with coronavirus and cancer treatment.
Pasha has been a client of PCSN for the past 3 months. She is a squamous cell carcinoma patient whose cancer spread from her nose to her eye resulting in surgery to remove her left eye. While undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment, Pasha did not have anyone to take her to and from her medical appointments. She was not able to go out and get her own groceries due to her partial blindness and the looming COVID-19 pandemic. At PCSN, our goal is to ensure while our clients are undergoing treatment or – in this case – also going through a global pandemic, they should not have to worry about how they will get to treatment or how they are able to get food and put themselves at risk. We were able to provide Pasha with transportation to and from her appointments with our partner, Envoy America, several times a week. We hand delivered meals & groceries to her from our new partnership with the JoyBus Diner. She expressed her sincere gratitude for being able to interact with someone from our team every week. She told us she felt supported during this difficult time. It is an honor to serve Pasha and support her on her cancer journey.– Adam Thompson, Intern & Client Interaction Supervisor
