Phoenix Cancer Support Network’s Generous Donors Raise Just Over $40K at 3rd Annual Friendraiser & Gala

“The Morning Mayor,” Dave Pratt helps bring in substantial dollars to help cancer patients

Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego recognizes PCSN

Phoenix, AZ–Phoenix Cancer Support Network proudly announces raising over $40,000 at their 3rd annual Friendraiser & Gala. This annual event provides essential support, raising the necessary funds for the coming year. These funds allow PCSN to continue to provide services to patients undergoing cancer treatment. The evening was graciously hosted at a spectacular venue and with great food, beverages and raffle items, all courtesy of Chateau Luxe.

Among the highlights were touching stories by several of PCSN’s clients and how PCSN has arranged support for them along the way. Tears welled during the heart rendering journey of a 8-year old and her family. With her proud warrior standing by her side, this Mom poignantly related the devastating impact of a cancer diagnosis and how they navigated their way through a cancer diagnosis, amputation, months of chemo and attempt to return to a sense of normalcy.

Also, in attendance, was Cepand Alizadeh from Mayor Kate Gallego’s office. The mayor, unable to attend, sent her Community Relations Director to surprise PCSN with a letter of recognition. The letter can be viewed below.

The night kicked off with some fun when Emcee and local radio legend “The Morning Mayor,” Dave Pratt haggled with the honoree’s (Dr. Manohar Singh) grandson ultimately trading a $500 donation for the young attendee’s tie and the donations started rolling in, with the final number at over $41,000. PCSN honored Dr. Manohar Singh, who passed last year from cancer for his lifelong commitment to the community.

“My heart is full as a result the generosity and support of our donors, sponsors and clients” commented PCSN CEO & Founder, Jenny Martin. “Until cancer is eradicated, we are compelled to continue our mission to alleviate some of the burdens that accompany a diagnosis of this horrific disease.”

The event would not have been possible without our generous sponsors : Chateau Luxe, Arizona Center for Cancer Care, Celebration Stem Cell Centre, Honor Health Virginia G. Piper Cancer Care Center, ABF Printing & Marketing, AmeriCare, Caris Life Sciences, Envoy America, Prime Care Hospice, Temple Solel, Solis Mammography, Dave Pratt, Dr. Rubin of Naturopathic Specialists
